Position Title: Senior Lease Analyst
   
Duties:

Using the AS400 Avatar system, Analyst reads and interprets oil and gas leases and contracts. Inputs information directly into the Avatar computer system and verifies the output.

   
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

EXPERIENCED Lease Analyst, preferably 10-15 years experience. Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of lease obligations, join operating agreements and contracts. Prior experience with Avatar system would be extremely helpful. Ability to quickly learn computer applications a must. MS Word and Excel skills preferred.

Position Title: Division Order Analyst
   
Duties:

Analyzes documents of conveyance or inheritance received from third parties in order to process the required change of interest, prepare and issue transfer division orders, and update the revenue division of interest. Handles written, telephone and email inquiries from interest owners on various matters. Assists senior staff in preparation and circulation of division orders for new wells with a status change, i.e., change in marketing arrangements, interest changes due to payouts or non-consents, or changes in government regulation regarding payment of royalties.

   
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Minimum four years experience in petroleum land, lease or division order work. Some college preferred. Thorough knowledge of requirements in two states and experience in two or more states. Hands-on experience in most phases of department functions. Strong analytical, math and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word and/or WordPerfect and Excel are required.

Duties:

  • Skills in computer applications required (primarily Microsoft products)

  • Broad range of oil and gas experience with emphasis in Land (Division Orders or Lease experience) beneficial.

Position Title: Land Mapping Technician
   
Duties:
  • Digitize leases, units and various XTO properties using ArcGIS software.
  • Create area land maps and special project maps and illustrations using mapping/graphic software from ESRI, Adobe, and others.
  • Provide administrative and technical support including scanning, plotting, trimming, and folding, as well as software/hardware troubleshooting.
  • Assume land mapping responsibility for an assigned area. Build lease, unit, and other land-related layers; build county, area and specialty maps as requested utilizing cultural, land, well, topographic, aerial and other data. Keep property status current in assigned areas.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
   
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Proficient knowledge of ArcGIS, projection systems and spatial relationships.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Lotus, Illustrator, Photoshop and other mapping software.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas terminology as well as aptitude to learn procedures used in mapping XTO properties.
  • Working knowledge of desktop, network and mainframe systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions for oil and gas leases, including ability to plot descriptions using metes and bounds callouts.
  • Working knowledge of scanning, digitizing, and plotting oversize displays.
  • Ability to professionally interact with a team-minded approach to all members and levels within the organization.
  • Position requires project-specific work, custom mapping and graphic support for Land Department as well as other departments within the company.
  • 1 to 3 years industry experience

Duties:
  • Communicate with internal engineering and geological groups.
  • Provide and assist in the retrieval of log images and digital data.
  • Scan logs and quality control existing logs.
  • Data entry of proprietary data on a daily basis.
  • Gather operated and non-operated new well digital data from logging companies.
  • Research and verify data integrity using multiple resources.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills to compliment a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong work ethic, good analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to use various software applications such as Aries, Windows, Access and Excel.

  • Prior experience calibrating and digitizing would be helpful.
